About Us

We offer students a space to showcase their work, collaborate with other writers and artists, and learn about the editorial and publishing process behind our student-run magazine.

Untold Magazine tackles the strange, the quirky, the serious, and the overlooked stories of Hamline University. Whether it’s about our students, staff, faculty, alumni, or local community, we emphasize the uniqueness and diversity in and beyond campus—and we bring attention to where and when that’s lacking. Drawing inspiration from feature writing, creative nonfiction, zines, collage, photography, and more, each issue is as eclectic as the people and places whose stories we’re privileged to tell.

We publish a new print issue Fall and Spring semesters. Each issue’s packed with a variety of contributions: community interest articles, interviews, profiles, short memoirs, poetry, photo essays, collages, and more. We also post audio, video, and other mixed media pieces on our website, including web exclusive content!

Untold offers a little of everything. We always welcome and pay contributors for their work. Interested? Find out how to publish with us.
